Your choices
This policy applies to www.photocollect.io, not to the product or demo on other subdomains.
In the European Economic Area (EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your choices. Outside this region, optional services are enabled automatically. If your location is unknown, we show the banner. A saved explicit choice applies regardless of location.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies and local browser storage. Your consent is voluntary and can be changed or withdrawn at any time through the cookie settings in the footer.
Necessary settings
pc_theme is an essential cookie that stores light or dark mode for 180 days. Without a saved choice, we use the local time in your device’s timezone: dark from 19:00 to 07:00, otherwise light. Light is the default if the time cannot be determined. You can change the mode at any time using the icon next to the language selector. The saved choice takes priority. The cookie applies across the website, does not require permission for optional cookies and is not used for tracking.
pc_consent stores your explicit choices, a random consent ID, date and policy version in local browser storage for 180 days. We do not keep a separate consent log on our server. After expiry or a policy version change, we ask again if you are in the banner region.
pc_geo_country stores the country code and lookup time in local browser storage for seven days. Our server sends your IP address to ipapi.co (Kloudend, Inc., USA) to look up your country. We retain only the country from that response. The same lookup controls the regional cookie banner and currency on the Cloud page. IP location may be inaccurate, for example when using a VPN.
pc_currency_override stores a currency you select via the URL in local browser storage for one day. Without this override, the Cloud page uses the detected country.
Analytics and marketing
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited). Analytics cookies include _ga and _ga_…, typically stored for up to two years. Marketing cookies such as _gcl_au are typically stored for up to three months; Google may also use local browser storage such as _gcl_ls. Actual retention depends on the Google settings.
We use advanced Google Consent Mode: when analytics and marketing cookies are rejected, Google tags may still send cookieless measurement signals. With your permission, analytics cookies or data for advertising measurement and personalised advertising may be used.
Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) measures usage without cookies. This service loads independently of your cookie choices.
YouTube / external media
YouTube videos load only after you allow external media; outside the banner region they are automatically enabled unless a refusal is saved. We use youtube-nocookie.com. When a video loads, Google receives your IP address and may use cookies or browser storage, such as YSC for the session or VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE for up to 180 days. Allowing media does not automatically enable marketing.
Change and withdraw
When you withdraw permission, we update Google settings, remove accessible first-party tracking cookies for the disabled categories and reload the page if the choice was saved successfully. We cannot delete third-party cookies or cookies inaccessible to JavaScript; you can remove those through your browser. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page.
