The platform lets you use a rule setting to determine whether employees must show a neutral face with a closed mouth or whether a slight, closed-mouth smile is accepted – entirely in line with your requirements and use scenarios.

In addition, Photo Collect meets the ICAO standards (International Civil Aviation Organization) that apply worldwide to machine-readable travel documents. Among other things, these standards require a frontal portrait with open eyes, a neutral expression or slight smile, a defined head size in the image, and even lighting against a neutral background. As soon as a photo has been uploaded or taken, it undergoes automated AI validation. This checks criteria such as pose, lighting, facial expression, head alignment, and background. Photos that do not meet the requirements are flagged, and you can trigger a new request via the integrated quality control.
