Photo Collect does not use generative AI, as it artificially recreates or alters faces. Although generative AI can deliver visually perfect images, it invents missing details and thus changes a person's biometric characteristics. The resulting image appears plausible but no longer shows the real person exactly – a security and compliance risk. Generative AI is therefore not permitted for official ID cards and is also not recommended for company badges. Photo Collect uses AI exclusively for quality checks, cropping, centering, and background removal. The faces always remain completely original and unchanged.
